Dropshot - 6/30/2009 1:42 PM Did my ears deceive me or did the former reporter, not butt kisser Robert T. Nash just bash the guy for taking McDonalds to the Boathouse?

Nash was kissing the Boathouse's a** yesterday, said he loves everything about the place.

Doc, it may have been submitted and not posted. It is discretionary what they post. If it was just forwarded as it has been going around, NOT a chance it will get posted. Someone would have to compose a "rant" and it might have a chance if the owners dont know someone at the website. A good friend of mine was TRASHED in the opinion section the last couple of months, and a bunch of folks wrote positive things, but NONE were ever posted, only the negatives. It is a private, for-profit website and the owners have ultimate control... :(

For a guy who used to brag about how objective he was, he sure has changed. First he was sucking up to the city of East Ridge, now this...

I understand now Spur, lopsided, biased, news at it's best. Plenty of praise but no negatives. Plus the Boathouse might be an advertiser.

From what I heard, he didnt even write the appology letter one of his female office personel wrote it.

Hooker771 - Please continue to encourage Craig to post this to the Chattanoogan, if he has not done so. It really needs to be there. Or let us know if he has done so, but it has not been published.

I think i mite go there just to see if they will turn my kids happy meal down. Thats all my little boy will eat is chicken nuggets and half the time we cant get him to eat that. I would wait till we orderd then when the food comes out i would break out the happy meal. If they start that crap with my wife the place is going to get destroyed. LOL Im talking about slinging stuff left and right. Maybe we can get a bunch of people on here to go and break out happy meals all at once and just order something to drink. LOL
I dont even know where the place is at but i would love to go show them how georgia people handle things.

It's just a shame that there aren't better eateries along the river. The boathouse benefits so much from a great location. I would kill for Tubby's to be a stop along the river. For what it's worth, I was going to go to the boathouse this past week and did not due to this post. So they at least lost that business.

beetlespin - 6/29/2009 5:56 PM I have taken a bunch of customers there over the past few years but I will try to refrain going forward. I never have cared too much for their food but I do like that eastern european waitress:)

Don't you mean waitER?????

I have never known Robert T. Nash to ever be objective. The few times that I have ever turned the radio on when he is on, he has always been a jerk. I usually turn the radio off after about 5 minutes of his drivel. I am reminded of a famous quote from a coach that we all know and either hate or love. "Never get into an argument with someone who buys ink by the barrel". Same could be said with someone who controls the airwaves and will always get in the last word, as inane as it might be. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

I just read this post and Im glad I did. I have been thinking about taking a trip down the river in the boat and maybe stopping at the boathouse to eat. IT WONT HAPPEN NOW!!! What a JERK!! I dont know what people are thinking when they make comments like that to the people they need the most...CUSTOMERS!! Same goes for the people at Lake Ocoee Inn...I have a similar story with them and their marina and cabin rentals!
