Put in at Grasshopper at the crack of dawn and was surprised to be the first one there. Saw a few breaking fish at the mouths of creeks/pockets and caught a few on shallow cranks and lipless baits. Fished some shallow, subtle points on the main channel and caught a couple and lost a 5-6 lber. Went into Sale creek and caught a few on jerk baits on steep banks. Caught a couple of yellow and white bass on traps in 2-4 feet of water where I could find bait. Caught a couple of bass around shallow stumps/brush on traps and hooked one that pulled very hard but pulled off. Thought I was hooked to a stump until it started moving. Wound up with 13-14 bass with most in the 2 pound range. Best 5 would have been 12-13 lbs. Water had good color in the creeks but was muddy on the channel and ranged from 48-51 degrees. Lots of current on the channel.</p>

Thanks for the report. Been working my big tail off lately and haven't been in a couple of months. Can't wait to get out there this Sunday.
Have a great week!

Awesome report. Sounds like a good day. I hope to get a trip in the next couple weeks. Makes you crazy when every smaller fish that bites makes it back to the boat, but you lose the first big one you hook up with. Story of my life, lol.
Thanks for sharing
