Trim Guage Problem

My trim gauge only goes up halfway. The trim works fine but the gauge stops about halfway up. Don't know where to begin to check.

My guess would be gauge has gone bad. Get a new gauge.

A bit more information would be helpful. What motor? What type of gauge, etc.? For example many Mercs have a collar whose position my need a simple adjustment with only a screwdriver needed which may solve the problem.

2010 E-Tec 200. Went out yesterday and the gauge seems to be working again??? Can't get out again for a while. Will keep posted.
