Got out later in the morning about 1100 and fished for about 2.5 hours. No wind at the start but got 10 mph steady out of the south by 1300. Water temp was 53.5F most of the time. Not too many bass fishing where I was and ramp was about half full. Caught one keeper and several smaller...mostly on a small jig but a couple on jerk bait. The boat was in 3-4 foot of water most of the time and I was throwing shallower. I caught the first few on a Carolina rig and some right at the boat reeling in fast. They seemed to want a bait with action so then came the jerk bait. I was too shallow most of the time for a trap, square bill or blade. I expect to be fishing the rest of the week but wind is supposed to pick up which, coupled with my moderate casting skills, makes throwing the smaller stuff a problem. I’ll probably return with the need to cut and replace line on a few reels!
