It's true... an army of green spread out across the Enterprise South Industrial and Nature Park one night last week to take out ten deer.

They were collecting abomasums. Do you know what an abomasum is?

I don't know much about what's going on over there, but wasn't that open hunting land before the park and VW was built? Now with no hunting going on the deer are overrunning the area and our tax dollars are paying for night vision and thermal imaging so some agents can have a little fun. Oh and they come up with a scientific reason to justify it. Correct me if I'm wrong

We have too many deer in the area where I live. It is fine with me if TWRA wishes to kill ten of them to study the contents of their fourth stomach.

No sir... prior to the land (app. 7,000 acres) being turned over to Hamilton County for a Nature Park and industrial development, it was owned by the military and completely closed. I mean the "shoot on sight" kind of closed. In the 1960's and early 70's, a huge portion of the TNT that fell on Vietnam came from there. Part of the land is still closed to public access and will probably never be developed due to massive environmental issues left behind from the government's TNT manufacturing operation. After the TNT manufacturing operation ceased, the military allowed limited quota hunts to keep the deer pop. in check... Hamilton County has continued that, but has occasionally taken heat from the anti's for it.

You'll find the "Enterprise South" quota hunt(s) listed in TWRA's WMA hunting guides.

My Dad killed a Large 6 point Blacktail out of there years ago, but it wasn't right. He said it acted different when it came by him. That's when we learned they where dying out.
