Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
—Romans 8:35-37

He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.
—Proverbs 17:9

The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
—Romans 13:9-10

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
—1 John 4:18

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
—Matthew 22:37-39

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
—1 John 4:9

He knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside.
—Job 23:10-11

A common question among people is "what is wisdom and what is understanding"? God gave us the answer in Job 28:28

Job 28:28 KJV
"And unto man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding"

It don't get simpler than that!

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
—Romans 8:28

This was the verse in my morning devotion. It is a great encouragement to me and I hope it will be a blessing to you.

Isaiah 54:17 KJV
"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD"

Sometimes it seems like this sinful world gangs up on us and our circumstances can get us down, we are after all only flesh and blood. This verse reminds us that we belong to God and the devices of evil men will fail. Amen

As God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
—Colossians 3:12

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.
—Psalm 23:1-3

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought.
—Jeremiah 17:7-8

Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
—Ephesians 6:10-11

Matthew 6:34 - About Worry!

Matthew 6:34
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

I think most of us could benefit if we practiced this better. God is in control, I know for me how much I believe this is reflected by my worry level. Sometimes my faith is strong and I don't give the headlines much thought, other times my lack of faith causes me to be anxious. Trust in the Lord, that's the best plan!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
—1 John 1:9

For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him.
—Philippians 1:29
