Help Support Chattanooga Fishing Forum:

I work at SAIC as a pricing analyst (an excel geek). I price multi million dollar contracts for Army, Navy, FBI, THADD, HS and a ton more. It's a great job.
When I'm not working I'm working on something, I'm kind of a jack of all trades. But best of all I love to fish.

I started mowing yards when I was about 10 and worked in some of the nicer restaurants in Knoxville thru high school.
35 years ago this week I started welding school in NC for Daniels Construction and 8 weeks later certified as a TIG Pipewelder at a Nuke in SC.
30 years ago come January 09 I became a proud member of Knoxville Local #102 Plumbers and Steamfitters. I`ve been certified at different times in most types of pipewelding including TIG, MIG, Stick, Automatic Tube ,Numeric controlled Diametric Welding. Also Qualified as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector...toughest test I ever took. As a journeyman pipefitter my duties have included plumbing ,fitting .a little boilermaking and any other crappy task that had to be done to finish the job. Spent several years in Supervision on local Projects.
I`ve worked all over the country at more places than I can remember. ( I do have complete list somewhere for my Q-Clearance updates ). I`ve worked in Chem Plants,Breweries, food processing, Refineries, Schools, Nuke and Coal Fired Power Plants, Y-12 Bomb, X-10 lab ,SNS Neutron and am presently employed on a project at Alcoa Aluminum.
All in all I`ve enjoyed it for the most part. I`ve got one more year to hit the magic age of 55 and have my 30 years in to retire. I probably won`t be able to quit working but I think I may go do something else for a while and draw my pennies. Maybe a greeter at Wallyworld !!!.....and fish a little more !!

I just changed jobs as well. I work in the technical department for Fresenius Medical Care. I maintain two types of dialysis machines, and the water treatment system for 15 dialysis clinics. It is the most fulfilling job I have ever had, and can be very challenging at times. I work four days a week, which leaves 3 day weekends for fishing.....although I have been working lots of overtime for the past few months, and have fished very little.

I worked 25 yrs in the printing industry, mostly newspapers. I became disabled in 1999 due to a childhood injury (ran over by a delivery truck). I have been blessed to work as many years as I did. Have worked a couple of forklift driving jobs since. But the leg finally crapped out in 2005 and with the couple of other industrial mishaps ( 8 vertebrea in my neck need fuzing) I'm down but, far from out. I wouldn't call it work, but fishing is my main source of enjoyment & the main reason I have kept the LITTLE bit of sanity I have left. LOL

I worked for 18 years as an emergency room physician, 17 years in Chattanooga. Since last year I have been working at the local Physicians Care offices and work mostly at the Hamilton Place and Cleveland offices. I'm board certified and residency trained in family medicine and am building a family medicine practice at those two offices. Many of you have seen me as a physician and that has been a fantastic part of my job. I love my job and am a people person, fishing is great but people are what is really important to me.
