What is your best excuse to fish a tournament or just go fishing that you told your wife/husband

Mine so far have been: " I need to get the ethanol out of my gas tank", "my fishing line is about to expire", "it was my turn to feed the fish". "It is free to fish bass tournaments" these are just a few... My girlfriend thinks they are hilarious cause she knows I'll say whatever just to go fishing sometimes emoangler

Of course my girlfriend accepted non of these as truth emolaugh

"My partner (Fishing) is having a really difficult time right now and going through some problems, it would do him a lot of good for us to go out on the water so he can get away from it and discuss it if he has to."

"If I don't end up going fishing I can just stay here and help you do whatever your doing." Sometimes she'll even take me to the water and back me in when I "volunteer" to help.

I dont have to make excuses. I just set my alarm clock for 4:00 am. When it goes off I roll over and whisper in her ear, " Sex or Fishing?" She usually says to get gas money out of her wallet. Trust me it works. emoLaugh

My excuse is always either one of two things. #1 I'm on them good baby so I gotta go. They never bite this good. #2 Fishing sucked yesterday and I have to redeem myself. I can't even remember what it feels like to set the hook! Works every time

My wife is never awake early enough to srop me from going so I just get to hear about it when I get home lol. And she isn't off work early enough to stop me from fishing evening tournaments. Best excuse that I have used is a guy is thinking about buying the boat so hes going fishing with me to see how he likes it. Works 100% of the time

Got a go practice. Got a tournament Sat. Here is one that you don't want to use. I came in from the shop one day and my wife said why don't you go fishing you have been working so hard. I was a little shocked so I walked outside to the front of the garage and was standing there looking at the garage door when my wife came out. She asked me what's up and I told her I thought I was in the right house but thought I had better check the house number. Needless to say I didn't get to go fishing.
