I have used James on a couple of occasions and appreciated the work that he did for me. I called him up today while I was looking at a boat I was considering buying and he spent a good 20+ minutes on the phone with me, walking me through things to look at. He's one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and a hell of a mechanic.
There's no respect in this world anymore. I always ask James what his schedule is looking like, as I know there are a lot of folks wanting their boat fixed right the first time, so I get in line. It's a nice little drive from N GA, but more than worth it IMO.
You handled it exactly how you should. I'm not sure where that guy got his sense of entitlement from, but when he goes to another mechanic, his boat sits there for 4 weeks and it's still runs like sh*t, he will wish he hadn't acted like a moron.
FWIW...James is a pretty big ole boy, and I wouldn't want to make him mad!
