I am a Clint Eastwood fan. I saw Gran Torino last weekend. I would recommend seeing it.

Everything that Drumking put down is the movies that i really enjoyed,I like any movie that Sean Connery has played in.

I agree Rob, most sequels don't help much, I hope this one doesn't ruin the name. It would be very difficult to even come close to the same quality of movie as the original... guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Christmas Vacation, Caddy Shack, Run Ronny Run (probably #1 or 2), and Anchorman.

Also one that I cannot get out of my head when I watch it and a must see that is hardly seen by anyone ( CITY OF GOD)
Last years Super Bowl got my emotion going pretty good too.

Fishin Fool and MadBomber hit it really well. They missed "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and about a dozen others, but a great selection. Noise, special effects, impossible action, pretty actors, and comedy written by 12-year-olds do not make a good movie. Good plots, well written stories, and great acting and directing talent create the true classics (not what is being hailed as the "new classics"). Sorry to step on toes, but the industry rarely puts out quality movies anymore, they just shoot for the quick buck in the theaters, then on to pay-per-view and DVD. Really hard to find a movie to go to.

Not sure I can think of ten that deserve to be called "Favorites," but I bet a couple of mine will get raised eyebrows:

#1 - All That Jazz (Joe Gideon - "It's showtime folks!")
#2 - Forrest Gump (Too many great lines to pick just one.)
#2 - Jeremiah Johnson (Del Gue - "Skin that'n Pilgrim and I'll fetch ya another.")
#4 - Dances With Wolves (Wind in His Hair - "Do you see that I am your friend!? ... Can you see that you will always be my friend!")
#5 - Jurassic Park (only the first one... Dr. Ian Malcolm - "Anybody hear that? It's an... It's an impact tremor, that's what it is... I'm fairly alarmed here.)
#6 - Dirty Dancing (Quit Laughing!... Penny - "Oh, come on, ladies. God wouldn't have given you maracas if He didn't want you to shake 'em.")

I'm sure there's some others that don't come to mind.
