James put a jack plate on my boat this afternoon.... thx m8 emoThumbsup He had to use his milling machine to do some custom work to make it fit and did an excellent job. Can't wait to get on the lake and get this thing dialed in emoTongue
But... those of you going to him to work on your boats ... he tries to sneak cats in your boat to take home with you emoGoofy

Thx again James emoTongue

would you help me with some advice? have a 2002 185 javelin with a johnson 150 carb. and was wandering about a jack plate and what size and a prop. thanks for any help.

Mine is the same boat. Stratos 185. 2003 with johnson 150. I'll let you know how it does. We put a 6 inch setback on it. Hope to get tuning it friday.

They are really good props. Lets see how Randy's reacts to the jack plate. What is your speed, RPM's, water pressure? how is it lifting?

do good to get 55mph and turning about 5500, seems to do good lifting but this is the first real bass boat ive owned. so call me a rookie, seems like should go a little faster, thanks for the helping

You should be getting more. Sounds like you are overtrimming to get that RPM. That shows to be 21% slip, it should be around 10%. You throwing a big rooser tail???

Taz is getting 60 out of his and is basicly the same boat with less RPM's, that engine has 6100 rev limiter.
