Something else to think about...and it goes with what I tell my wife. Even though we are both CCW holders, you have to understand that if you ever have to pull the trigger on that weapon in an act of self-defense or otherwise, there are consequences far above just a dead or injured person. You are taught to only aim at what you are prepared to kill. In that split second, your entire life can change forever. Unless it is a clear-cut case that supports the Castle doctrine, you could end up spending everything on legal bills and other implications such as Civil trials, etc. </p>
As far as following...I think the defense sat silent for four minutes at some point in the case, exhibiting the time that elapsed before Martin approached a retreating Zimmerman. In four minutes, Martin could have been home, but he chose to return and confront Zimmerman. </p>
George Zimmerman will forever be looking over his shoulder even though he was acquitted, which is no way to live your remaining days. </p>
