It's once again time to start thinking hard about what our hopes, goals, and aspirations for the coming fishing year will be. I'll start it out, but I expect we'll have some very interesting and well thought-out posts, not just the old overused "more and bigger fish"!
1. More and bigger fish (oops).
2. Since I'm still fishing with what is the fishfinder equivalent of the original "Pong" game, I think I'd really like to upgrade to something serious if I can find a way to pay hospital bills and still afford it. My hope is that I can get a Humminbird 997cSI for the old boat, although it does seem silly wanting to get a fishfinder worth more than the boat. I can't imagine what my catch rate would be if I could actually see the bottom most of the time - much less fish arches!
3. I shalt not fall in (again).
4. My boat shalt not sink (again).
5. My health and finances shalt be sufficient to allow me to fish often and with many new and old friends (again). (Winning the lottery would be a very positive step in the right direction).
6. A new personal best blue cat - 85+ pounds!!!!
7. More and bigger fish (I couldn't help myself).
