I dont live on the computer and CFF is not the center of my cosmos, so a lot of this arguing got by me. I'm not bashing Catch, I'm not bashing S&K. Those guys have every right to fish when and where they want to. I was under the impression that when tournament commitees got together and put on a schedule for the upcomming year, they try to schedule around other events for several reason; increase participation, cut down on crowded holes, etc. I was caught off guard when I saw that catch was having an event the weekend after they just had one-no big deal. But then I realized that we were gonna have the same situation that we had last spring with 160 boats running 5 different directions at 75mph durring low light conditions. Its a safety issue. I have a good working relationship with the CATCH officers and many of it participants are friends of mine.
I made a post, said what I said, and a bunch of you took the opportunity to jump on me and the CBA-which is the norm around here. Just to let you know, I dont care! Most of you barking against the CBA never have and never will fish with us, even if we lowered the entry fee to $10. The CBA has been doing this for 33 years, yall can cry and whine and say whatever, but we are proud to generate the kind of money we do for the local economy, we are proud of the things we do in the commuinty (spear-head the florida bass restocking on chick. to name one). One of our members footed the bill to have some work done on the county park ramp, and at the following weigh-in we raised enough money to pay for it. And we are really proud that we are going to be giving one lucky youth a way to help fund a college education. We all have jobs, families, and bills just like you and we all love fishing. I'll promise that anyone crying on this or any other thread has not fished a CBA in the past 3 years. I welcome you to come out and try one and I promise your opinion will change!
