We had twenty boats to sign up but only 12 came to brace the elements. The storms and rain was over with before blast off.. It was actually a nice morning until he wind showed up and then it was horrible all day. Ronnie and I decided to stay on the lower end of the lake instead of running the river in the wind. We threw chatter baits, spinner baits, cranks, jigs, and shakey head worms. We caught three fish on cranks and all the rest were on a shakey head worm. We caught probably eighteen fish total. I broke one off and Ronnie lost two big fish that just pulled off of his spinning rod. The fish were in about 4-8 fow. Ronnie had the second big fish just shy of five pounds and I caught the big spot to split the pot. Our three fish was just good enough for the win luckily. They weighed in at just under eleven pounds. Hope to see you all at Nickajack April 15th!
