I swore I was going to swear off posting in this thread after my first one... but I can't stand it anymore.

When eating bass these days (even legal)... it is probably wisest to adopt the previous military policy of, "Don't ask, don't tell."

Sort of the same reason that we ... or at least "I" ... discourage folks from riding around town with their big buck draped across the hood anymore. It doesn't mean I'm not proud for folks to kill big bucks (or little bucks, or even does) ... or eat legal bass ... put it really doesn't serve any great benefit for any of us to flaunt it before those who are opposed.

Churly has contributed alot to this site, as well as working very hard to improve the local fisheries. I for one, would hate to see him leave. Perhaps he's a bit too passionate at times, but it only shows how much he cares. I don't keep fish to eat because I hate the taste. I do not have a problem with someone keeping a legal fish for dinner however.

Justin I think the stress my be getting to you. You decided to make this a sport vs Tx fishing thread and quite honestly I think you have done more harm to your point of view than good. It's quite obvious that your really pissed at one of your buddies for eating a smallie and bragging, talking down to anyone that doesn't agree with you and then making blanket statements about whole groups of people is just digging the hole deeper. If everybody on CFF is a bunch of bloodthirsty rednecks or back stabbers maybe it's time for you to look elsewhere and ask for your account to be deactivated.

never called anyone a backstabber. I know who my friends are, and there are plenty of good folks on the forum. I often question the motives and integrity of those who control what gets deleted, locked, or frozen.

well said rsimms.
