1st If there are no signs posted about curfew or no fishing they cannot enforce it, swimming areas close at sundown for safety reasons but they cannot shut down fishing or require campers to "turn in" at a certain time. As long as you're not disturbing your neighbors you're good. 2nd they cannot fine or detain you for "illegal" fishing only a twra officer can do that, they may ask you to leave the park but if you haven't broken any state park rules..... 3rd check the charter of the national park service, and the state of Tennessee parks. If you're not breaking any rules there you're good. That park and all the outdoor activities it preserves are meant to be enjoyed by the public. These park rangers are not allowed to make up rules as they go along. This brings me back to CFF1 when the rangers were throwing a fit about the number of boats, trucks, and trailers in the park and complaining about the tourneys that were launching from there that morning and we come in for weight in and twra is all over the place??? It sounds like these rangers just have a serious cob in their arses and need to check their attitudes.
