Dear Employees:

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way..

To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%. But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead.

This has really been bothering me since I believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change...... I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

THE BOSS

BS, is that all you can come up with trying to praise your sorry republican politicians? Find one little tid-bit of good that they have done for this country.

How in the world can even you stretch this into me praising Republicans?

Obama, has lowered taxes for the middle class. He is giving Emloyers a 5000 dollar tax credit for hiring a person. His plan in 2011 is to put a freeze on all Pork barrell spending to lower the deficit. They are trying to overhaul health care because of the amount of money American families are forking over and not leaving enough to help the economy. Yes sir, you are what we country boys say, "full of crap".

Once again let me reiterate. There has been no tax cut on the middle class under Obama or any other class for that matter. They changed the amount they took out of your weekly paychecks but the yearly amount/rate is the same. This is not a tax cut.

Everything Obama is for is an increase in taxes. He just has clever ways of describing them. Fees on big banks are nothing more than an indirect tax increase. Mandatory health insurance is a tax increase whether you want to believe it or not. Somebody will have to pay for the people that can't afford it. More regulation always equals more taxes...

I will say it again, you got a tax cut, call theIRS and ask them if you aren't afraid to. You have been listening to too much garbage from the republican side, you have your mind made up and nothing that is said on here or in the media will change you.

I have a question...how much tax have you paid on the computers and things you have sold on the forum in the past? Is that your idea of a tax cut, shystering the government out of owed taxes?

2 used Compaq laptops and a new in box GE microwave and 5 cases of "Big Orange" M&M's (notice tax was not added)
Sheets for sale...
Computers for sale...
Guns for sale...

Anybody in their right mind that believe Obamas is cutting our taxes is nothing short of either insane. Here's a good idea, let's get rid of Medicare and Social Security completely, and let me invest my retirement like I want to.

Let me say it again...Nobody has gotten a tax cut under this administration. Please show me where I got a tax cut.

In 2009 there are more deductions than in previous years from owning a house, dependents, going green with fuel efficient vehicles updating energy efficient heaters and windows.

Listen here, I work in Health care and know how hospitals over. Bill patients on unnessary procedures, tests and sugeries that don't make a difference. My wife had back surgery that cost 80,000 dollars, 6,000 of that money went for 3 screws. A lot of charges are hidden to up the price, to maximize profits. Remember, the medical industry is in it to make profits. Most of it is unregulated.

GARBAGE!! I did NOT get a tax cut! Did they take out less per week? Yes. Did they subtract that amount from my refund? Yes. So, how exactly is that a tax cut?

If you don't know anything about your taxes, I suggest letting the tax man figure it for you. My wife and I got $250.00 each, we are retired, I guess I got mine because we are democrats, republicans don't get one. Change parties.

If I have to pick the right party to get a refund I believe it may be time for a revolt. Sounds an awful lot like discrimination something you democrats profess to be above...

Well it works for me, I could care less if any of you got a tax cut, since you don't know how to figure yours. It must be the new math they are teaching in schools now, or smoke and mirrows.

beetlespin - 2/25/2010 5:08 PM

I got $6400 back but it wasn't because of Obama.

Actually I take that back. My pay has went down about 40% since Obama got in office so maybe by making less money I actually paid less taxes. Is that what you mean doc?

Sniperchoke - 2/25/2010 5:02 PM

Doc you got yours because Obama gave seniors a 250.00 dollar check to pay them off for votes.

Obviously that worked. emoRolleyes

The thing everybody forgets and that I have harped on time and again. One of the first things signed into law under Obama was an Increase in taxes that affects the poor 37 times more than an increase in payroll taxes would have and it was the increased cigarette tax.

No what you did was give the government an interest free loan. You need to be in the position of writing a check to them on April 15 - that way you minimize the interest free loan you give them. Mine get mailed April 15 each year, you just have to keep what you owe below the level of where a penalty would kick in.

You should find a better tax man to let you know what level of withholding that is for your income - even if it is all from retirement.
