dropshot... arrisuboy nice attempt...... to rewrite history... conservatives pushed thru civil rights... are you freakin kidding me. I'm sure that would come as quite a shock to KKK members. Posting a list of "firsts" and "almosts" hardly affects the daily lives of average Americans. Maybe watching the History Channel may help, or better yet reading a History book. While your at it read a Science book too, you will learn that the earth is actually globe shaped and not flat like a coin.
KKK Members such as Robert Byrd, a prominent democrat, who filibustered the law. If if was up to you and Doc (Mr. IRS), my family would still be slaves. Do you know how to read, or do you spend all day watching Keith Olbermann or looking at comic books? How about numbers, can you count? Wake up, stop looking for handouts from those of us who work real jobs and professions for a living and examine the facts, such as the voting record on the 1964 Civil Rights Act of 1964...

And I disagree with Roosevelt and the military to a point. He squandered his first four years before playing catch-up. We had outdated planes and equipment in service at the beginning of the conflict that were greatly inferior to anything Japan or Germany had at the time we entered. Luckily, because of our economic capacity, we quickly surpassed all others.
