Legends Dogfight Tournament on Sept. 5th.

Since we canceled the one at Riverpark for that day it looks like there is not much going on. I am going to have a Dogfight Tournament out of HBSP that day. It will be safe light to noon since the sun is slower at coming up. Three fish format. Everyone welcome, ringers and rookies alike. emoBigsmile As usual it will be a $20 entry and $5 on big bass. No pre-sign just show up and fish it. Weigh in at the picnic tables across from the merina. CFF rules will apply. 100% payback, one place every five entries up to five places and one Big fish up to twenty boats and two big fish over 20 boats. Hours; Safe Light till noon out of HBSP.
Sign up that morning at the ramp at HBSP.
Weigh in at 12 noon at the picnic area across from the marina.
Don't everyone bring fish at the same time, wait for line to go down.
Be inside the bouys by 12 or be DQ'd, don't be Churly with 30 seconds to spare.
Three fish only, spots 12, LM 15 and SM 18.
I will measure the smallest if close but no penalty to bring one up.
Open to everyone, no more then two anglers per boat.
$20 entry and $5 big bass, with partner or without, 100% payback.
I will be there about 5:30 to start sign ups. Please try and be early.
1 place every five boats up to five places max.
1 big bass pot up to 20 boats and then two big bass pots for over 20 boats.
Only one big bass will count per boat, you cannot win both big bass pots.

* No Live Bait, No Trolling, No Locking Through

* Dead Fish - 1/2 Pound Per dead fish. No More Than 2 dead fish can be weighed per boat.

** SPECIES –

* 12" Spotted bass - 15" Largemouth - 18" Smallmouth

* Brown is Brown. There are some smallmouth that contain a tooth patch, but a brown fish is a smallmouth

* A spot qualifies as being green, and has a tooth patch

* A fish still in question will be determined by Jmax and helpers.

** SAFETY –

* Participants are encouraged to abide by all state and federal regulations and take all necessary precautions to provide for their safety. I strongly encourage the wearing of a life vest while the big motor is running and on plain.

** DISTANCE-

* 50 yard rule when competing in this tournament. Unless waved over, stay outside a judgment distance of 50 yards.

* As usual, please exercise safety, good sportsmanship and most of all, have fun fishing!

Never realized anyone not fishing the Bite trail owed anyone fishing the trail anything. Besides, it ends at noon. They will have plenty of room.

If they can't stand another 20-30 boats on the lake then they shouldn't be fishing community holes.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but why is it ok for members on here to get upset about someone scheduling a tourney on the same day as their CBA or SPOT tourney, but not ok for someone else to be upset about a tourney scheduled on the tourney they're fishing? Just wondering. I remember a guy getting dogged out for trying to schedule a tourney on top of a "spot" tourney a member on here was having this summer.

I must have missed that e-mail. The only thing that day posted is a tournament on Watts Bar. Topwater, it would still not hurt to post it on the calendar. It only takes a second or two. Just go into the calendar, hit the day and type it in. I always look on there before having one so I do not mess up someone else. So is the G one on Saturday and the Chick on Sunday? emoScratch Jmax
