I would suggest paying three places. 60 - 30 -10. No need to reward mediocrity and that is coming from the king of mediocrity!

Fair enough, what would be the boat number entries? No matter how many? I will keep this one as is but I am open to suggestions for any future ones. Jmax

Just the way I look at it, if the entry fee is going to be minimal, the the pay out ( number of places) , should be minimal. maybe pay out one in every 8 boats, and if you are going to pay out more than 1 big fish, then make it a differant species ( spot/smllmouth. I mean doesnt big fish mean, the biggest fish should get rewarded?? JMO.

I'd wave my winning's (if I can catch anything worth keeping) to see beetle and his partner show up in matching dresses and some pumps to boot. emoLaugh

Hey Guys........

Can I put my 2 cents in? I'm not real good at fishing on the lakes around here. I very rarely fish any Tx's. If I do it's a backseat I'm filling in.

Seeing how I'm not that good..... I feel that one thing that would attract me to a Tx is if there are more places paid out. That way if I get lucky - I may have a shot at getting something back for my efforts and still have some fun doing it.

I do know that the better fishermen often tend to want a bigger pay out due to the fact they have a chance at winning it. This goes the same in any contest / sport.

I played in many pool (8-ball) Tx's that paid the top 4, and I was always one to look out for to finish in the top 4 and could win. I also saw the same thing happen there.

Some of better players wanted to win more and leave nothing for the player that rarely gets into the top 10 let alone be in the top 4. Occasionally someone would play thier best games ever and finish in 5th place. Just to be left out of the money so the top dogs got all the cash.

For the record.... I know this works both ways and you can't please everyone.

Thank you Jmax for trying to be reasonable about this and letting others get a shot. emoToast

I vote more places...... even if I'm not fishing in it. emoAngel

It is. Not everyone can fish it so we are going to sore lip everything on chick before Sunday emoLaugh

Jim...our payouts have always worked well with CFF and any TX we've ever put on through CFF. I say leave it the way it is. Gives more peoplea reason to fish and have fun.

I like the payout scedule, even though I'm never close... hope to make it to this one.

with CFF tournaments bringing 25-40 boats in every event I don't see why you'd mess with a good thing, even for the sake of "sensibility"

I like the current system. If I wanted to fish for money I would donate to the CBA. I would not mind seeing all the CFF money got to charity and have trophies or something for the people that place. Last I looked we were fishing for the fun of it and to hang out, not get rich.

Well put Michael. With the way we structured this years CFF no one is getting rich and the turnouts have been great! Ourtournament trailchamps will be recieving a nice trophey this year. The Classic will be a double down on the entry and the pay scale will follow.

Exactly Wiskers. Hit the nail on the head right there

Yeag screw that guy that wanted to pay first place more! What an idiot! Let's reverse the pay scale. Pay fifth place 30%n 4th place 25%, third place 20%, 2nd place 15%, and the winner gets 10%. That will really be the bomb. I'm sick of all these guys fishing tournaments thinking they might win something!

This PMS is killing me. You guys know I'm just jerking your chains. Its a silly pay out scale but I just fish them for the fun of it.

Lets have the smallest 3 bass limit gets 30%, 2nd smallest bag gets 20%, etc and go up from there. A reverse tourny. I bet I could do some damage in that thing. Lance may have a shot as well. I bet TW could get a check in this one.

We could have a most fish/lowest weight tx. Wiskers would weigh 287 spots that weighed 11.2 lbs in a five hour dogfight. Now that's an accomplishment. Most of us wouldn't even know we had a fish that small:)
