Hey to those that care or interested .. Im coming along with the boat, been working on engine last few days..
I bought a 90hp seems like eons ago .. for 400 bucks, had a good bit of salt corrosion on it the steering arm was almost completely rusted in half , barnacles all over it .. and this gawd awful shade of turquoise paint on it and blue on the foot needed some serious cleaning up .... well I got a mid section from Marine Specialty for $100 bucks, that was salt free, and a trim motor from ebay for $75 and 25 shipping.. was a bargain for a working trim motor.
I took off the foot, replaced the water pump and impeller, Sanded the old paint off, took the power head off the blue motor and put it on the new mid section today.

Tomorrow I will get back to last lil bit of sanding on the boat, wipe it down good , tape it up and start spraying the epoxy primer. Friday I should have the base clear all done .. unless after primer I see places that need more sanding.. if so I will block sand it out .. shoot another primer coat .. then sat should have have paint done.

Then Ill paint the motor after the boat is done

Here is some picks of the motor

I assume this is your personal boat (engine actually)
I want to see the final product, fully assembled; it will have to be awesome with as much work as you've put into it!! emoToast emoWorthy

Yep this is my personal boat and engine .. started this project last Sept. worked on it off and on until January .. havent touched it since early March.. too busy with working on others boats..

Im finally about to have this one done.. the seats are soon to be recovered, I have the carpet, new steering wheel, and the rod locker box lid and the rear gas tank battery lid is being remade switch from Plywood lids to Aluminum will save a good 100lbs in those two lids.

Here is the steering wheel I ought off ebay, mine is the black one, its a Isotta Carbon Fiber steering wheel paid 25 shipped, its new in box and normally 159 bucks on other web sites on the net.

The only thing I really want to change out is the gauges to match the steering wheel , but for now that will have to be a project for some other time, the gauges I want are pricey about 600 for the set.. but what I have will do for now, except the gas gauge needs replaced. and If I keep looking I will find the gauges I want at a price I want to spend.. Im a bargain hunter

Its not the first one Ive done .. and Im sure there will be more .. but this time I will hang on to this one for at least 2 yrs lol.. And the past projects where never done to this extent .. I never had a place to do all this before.. the others where done in the yard or a much smaller garage

I will post pics of the boat right before I spray the epoxy , then some with just epoxy, and then the final base/clear, and then will post the rest when I get the carpet done. I have to wait till my seats are done and lids before I can show it off too much. I will still have to re-assemble all the bits and pieces after paint and carpet is done.

Then the next step will be to paint the trailer and gets some new or new to me mag wheels for it, the wheels on it are chromed steel wheels but are rusting.. maybe ol BillyBoy can hook me up with some new mags at bargain price? emoSmile

Billy will hook you up, he's a good guy'
Didn't mean to call you Crod, that stuck in my head after reading his reply! emoDoh

Hey I found the gauges I wanted, well really wanted Livorsi but they where 400 for those so I settled for these at about 1/3 of what the dealer cost on them was. Faria Gauges here is a pic

Ok folks .. Im still tinkering with things.. Motor painted now .. New gauges and steering wheel came in .. Im making a wood grain panel for the bow, decided to just order new seats for the boat.. since my partner cant seem to get my orig seats done lol .. he has had them since Feb .. sheesh lol
I came up with a new logo for the boat .. couldnt get the sign shop in Soddy to get mine done .. he used to be fast .. now he is slower than christmas .. so I had Billy T's do it .. cost me 50 not 30 but had from design to finished product in 3 days, and Im happier with the new one any way
Im getting to work on mine after hours .. .

Here are pics of recent progress
