First of all, I find it ironic that we are having this discussion under a thread started by liveliner posting a "FAKE NEWS" story as if it were true. Some of you are laughably gullible. Next, spnplgr, you have no concept whatsoever of what Socialism as a form of Govt. actually is. Like many conservatives, incorrectly, you see no difference between "socialism" and "social services", but yet you take full advantage of all "social services" available to you. It's a fair, honest discussion and debate to have over "social services" without calling someone who supports an idea of adding a "social service" to our society an "evil socialist". When you do that... you demonstrate to me that you have no idea what you are talking about, and most likely get your information the same way liveliner does. Under this "socialist" President.... The stock market is through the roof... Un-employment rates steadily dropping.... Osama bin Laden is now octopus food. General Motors is Number 1 again......The budget deficit while ballooning on the front end to help stimulate the economy left to him by the previous administration, is now almost 1/3 of what it was... Over 7m have signed up for PRIVATE medical insurance via the insurance marketplace. If President Obama IS a Socialist..... he should go down in history as the "Worse Socialist Ever"! lol. No! wait! lets go back to the first one.... The stock market thru the roof....A "real socialist" would have closed the stock market on day one via one of those executive orders I keep hearing about. (for those of you that don't get sarcasm, that was sarcasm)
Now to sniperchoke... In Benghazi... you looking for a cover-up here is a joke. Mistakes were made, yes... Appropriate security measures were not taken. But to elevate this unfortunate event for political purposes to a Watergate status is laughable. As for the IRS.... Lois Lerner was appointed to her position by a Republican. She resigned before she was fired...... Unlike the previous administration..... VP Chief of Staff, Scooter Libby who leaked classified info about cia agents, was convicted and sentenced, but yet had his sentence commuted by the President......... Now that's a scandal! Were you jumping up and down and having a hissy fit about that one??? Bet not. As for the President being wrong (lying if you will) about keeping your coverage, then it turning out.... that if you carried a "Junk" policy that did not meet minimum coverage requirements, it would no longer be offered by insurance companies. He admitted it then fixed it making it possible for those to keep their "junk" insurance till 2015 and 2017 in some states. But if you want to get technical about it, the argument can be made that he didn't lie at all. The ACA provides a grandfather clause allowing everyone to keep their coverage (even junk) provided it was purchased before 2010. So in fact it was the insurance companies who started dropping these junk policies, forcing folks to purchase a quality plan that actually covered something.
You guys go on and soak your minds with "made up news" and conspiracy theories. It's comical to read what you post. There are some guys that occasionally post in this forum (Jmax, Ericm and foodsaver) who express valid opinions, even though I may dis-agree and offer a different viewpoint. Some of you are just pure entertainment.
