"I wish the LORD would give His spirit to all of them!"

Numbers 11:29

It's wild sometimes to watch some sort of live bait fall into the water . . . . a crawfish, frog, grasshopper, spider, and the like. We expect a fish to instantly explode on the real thing. Sometimes it happens, but often the bait safely reaches shore. It succeeds by trying to not look like or act like a crawfish, frog, grasshopper or spider. Ironically, we're trying to make our artificial bait look and act like the real live bait. Satan, along with all his followers, was thrown from Heaven for trying to be God. Isn't it amazing that God had already planned to give His Holy Spirit to those who would believe in His Son, Jesus. Awesome!!!

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind."

Matthew 22:37

God Bless Ya'll & have a GREAT day!!!!!

9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2nd Corinthians 12:9-10

"Those people who keep their faith until the end will be saved."

Mark 13:13

God Bless Ya'll & have a safe & enjoyable Memorial weekend & don't forget the reason for it.

"Forgive us for our sins, because we forgive everyone who has done wrong to us."

Luke 11:4

A two or three pound bass can break fishing lines several times its weight. What generally keeps this from happening is a small amount of line stretch (forgiveness) built into monofilament and the small forgiveness in our rod tips. As long as you can keep the fish from getting a straight pull on you, you'll usually land the fish.

A small amount of forgiveness can solve big, big problems in most relationships. Just as important, a little forgiveness can keep tiny problems and mess-ups from festering into major issues. The devil hates it when you forgive. You can ruin his day anytime with forgiveness. When you do, God steps in and rewards you with His blessings. In fact, you will feel better and receive more than the person you forgave.

13"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"—but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

1 Corinthians 6:13

Good deeds are easy to see, but even those that are not easily seen cannot stay hidden.

1 Timothy 5:25

God poured out richly upon us that Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Titus 3:6

Few fishermen can deny there is a God. Look around at any body of water on an early summer day. The steam rises, baitfish dimple the surface, and an occasional explosion signifies a big bass having breakfast. A deer with a spotted fawn walks along the shore. The best fisherman of all, a blue heron or kingfisher, catches yet another bluegill. Glancing up, a redtail hawk circles. Look higher and an American bald eagle soars. Can you feel it? Can you feel God's Spirit in you? Oh, what rushes this God of ours shares!

from Jimmy Houstons book, "Catch of the Day"

Good people take care of their animals.

Proverbs 12:10

If you have a body of water you fish . . . a pond or a creek . . . take care of it! God expects you to take care of the creation over which He gave you dominion. Even if you don't own the water but merely have permission to fish, put out a feeder, feed the fish, fertilize the water. If we take care of the little places we fish, we will have lots more and bigger fish to catch.

Kinda neat how Spurhunter started a thread about cleaning up at the riverpark & then this is the verse for June 3rd from Jimmy Houston's book Catch of the Day. Our God is an awesome God!!

1 "Man born of woman
is of few days and full of trouble.

2 He springs up like a flower and withers away;
like a fleeting shadow, he does not endure

Job 14:1-2
