"We are allowed to do all things"--but not all things are good for us to do.

1 Corinthians 10:23

God Bless Ya'll & have a GREAT day!!!

Wait and trust the LORD.

Psalm 37:7

We all get impatient with God at times. When you know what a powerful God He is, you come to expect miracles from Him all the time. But be patient; it's His timetable.

This was a good idea. No matter what frame of mind you're in or what's going on in your life, the bible has the answers and points you in the right direction.

Scriptures explain yesterday, today, and tomorrow, answers all questions, and always leaves you feeling better after reading them.

"The God of heaven will give us success."

Nehemiah 2:20

The way to success with your family, your job or anything else is with the Living God. He has been at the core of everything good we have done. Whatever success we've had in our family, fishing, or business has come from God. Yes, there have been many struggles and trials, but through my darkest moments God was not walking with me--He was carrying me. What a blessing to live in God's arms!

"God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believs in him may not be lost, but have eternal life."

John 3:16

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

Matthew 28:1-10

Some people give much but get back even more.

Proverbs 11:24

"Love your neighbor as you love yourself."

Leviticus 19:18

"Whoever accepts a child like this in my name accepts me."

Mark 9:37

Jesus welcomed the little children. Their minds, hearts, and souls are shaped by God Himself and not yet tainted by the world. We're told to have faith of a child. Why were the children so important to Jesus? Why should they be so important to us? Because they soon will grow up into moms and dadsand grandmas and granddads. Such will inherit the Kingdom of God.

The Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Galatians 5:22,23

"Don't be afraid, because the LORD your God will be with you everywhere you go."

Joshua 1:9

If you belong to Christ, take heart and be persistent; He is right there even when you seem to be failing.

Foolish people lose their tempers, but wise people control theirs.

Proverbs 29:11

The old trick of counting to ten before you speak or react is still as good as gold. If we will just pause for a moment when we're offended or get upset we'll give God's Spirit the chance to take control while we stay calm and cool.

I won't be able to post next Thursday & Friday April 15 & 16. It would be great if someone could post verses on those days. Ya never know how much reading a verse could be helping someone. More often than not, it may be the exact thing that someone needs to hear. I hope ya'll have a GREAT day!!! Good Luck & God Bless!!!

Do not think you are better than you are.

Romans 12:3

It's easy to be humble when you fail, but difficult when you have success. When you win today, glorify God instead of yourself.

"Who can stand before the LORD, this holy God?"

1 Samuel 6:20

It's a lot of fun to watch people meet some of these superstar fishermen. Most pretty much take these big name guys in stride, but some folks get downright flustered when they get to meet a big fishing star. I once saw a guy get so excited meeting Bill Dance when he introduced his son to Bill, he forgot the boy's name---his son's name, not Bill's. I wonder what this guy might do when he stands before the biggest Name, the Almighty God. How might any of us act, and what can we say and do? The truth is . . . . without Jesus we're all in trouble. But praise God, He has provided the way to come before Him. With Jesus we can confidently stand before the throne of God and know we will be welcomed into His family!
